As Zonetap, we partnered with the University of Montana, the University of Idaho Forestry Division, and Volos Innovation Lab to build our first prototype.
What We Learned
The prototype tested well — the concept was validated. But custom hardware was costly to manufacture, and outsourcing firmware development created bottlenecks we couldn't sustain.
What We Built Next
Two of those original founders regrouped — and rebuilt. The result is a lighter, flexible software platform that integrates standard GNSS devices onto a single unified system.
